The “PicoLens” technology provides a novel, all-solid-state solution to arbitrarily shaped optical components, is free of moving elements, can be controlled via electronics, and takes up less space than existing lens systems with the potential to be a game changer in various applications where device “real estate” is both limited and valuable – such applications include space missions and satellite-based imaging systems.
